LA FLIBUSTE // FRENCH CRAFT CIDER

ELABORATION OF THE CRAFT CIDER La FLIBUSTE

SELECTION

Apples are coming from some selected orchards. We are supplied by orchards located in a range of maximum thirty kilometers from Saint-Briac, depending on the varieties.
We prefer to work with small producers than big companies, to promote a sustainable and local agriculture, who is taking care of our land and products.
The balance between the different varieties, and the different soils we can find around Saint-Briac bring the richness and specificity of our craft Cider la Flibuste

THE PRESSING

Once the apples are ready and falling down, around October or November, the apples are crushed and pressed. To ensure the food safety, we strictly follow the rules of the HACCP

Once pressed, the juice is stored in stainless steel vats in an air-conditioned cellar, until the day of the bottling.

THE ELABORATION

While stored in the stainless steel vats, cider needs a restless care, to control the fermentation, measure the sugar content, density and alcohol level, to be compliant with the French cider rules.

Juice remains 100% natural without any additive.

THE FILTRATION

Before the bottling, the cider is filtrated, to clarify le liquid, and get a nice golden yellow color, as well as improving the preservation potential.

THE BOTTLING

We use the bottling facility on the place of production. Lot numbers are directly printed on the bottles after the filling to allow the product tracking.

We then stick the bottles by ourselves, before packing the goods to be picked up by our freight forwarder.

THE LOGISTIC

To ensure the best quality for our products, we keep the cider in vats till the last minute.

We manage the filtration and the bottling at the very last minute accordingly to our orders and shipments planning.

Cider is then ready for pick up and meet our consumers from all over the world
